Pizza Pasta Casserole
If you like Pizza, and you like Pasta, there is no way that you wouldn’t like a combination of the two, which is exactly what this dish is all about!! A pasta that is mixed with your favourite pizza sauce and toppings, sprinkled with mozzarella and cheddar cheese, and then baked for a few minutes in the oven. The result is a fantastic yummy cheesy pasta that has a perfectly pizza-ish flavour!!

Instructions
- The best thing about this dish is you can use any and all ingredients that you like, any or a mixture of pastas that you enjoy and it would still turn out tops!My favourite pastas for this dish are normally rotini/spirals, like the ones in the pic, or any tube shaped ones, because they tend to retain lots of yummy filling and cheese in all the curls, making each bite a fantastic succulent one.First prepare your pizza sauce, it can be a simple tomato sauce like THIS one (depending on what other fillings you plan on adding).OR a meaty one like THIS one. Then, prepare your favorite pizza toppings of choice. HERE are some examples. You can sauté the toppings a little bit if you don’t like the extra crunch, for this recipe I normally heat a tsp. of oil then add the onions/peppers/sweet corn and cook them for about 3 minutes, just to soften them up a bit. If you’re using sausage, fry and cut it up into bits as well. Keep everything ready.Boil about 300 gm pasta as per the directions on the pack. Drain the water and run some cold water over the pasta. Then put it back in the pan and add a tbsp. of butter, heat the pan and toss everything together until well coated. Now add all your toppings. The sauce, peppers, onions, anchovies, sausage, sweet corn, etc. etc…anything you like except for the cheese. Mix together until the pasta is evenly coated. Then grease a baking dish and pour your saucy pasta into it, and sprinkle the top with about a cup or more of grated cheese, I like mozzarella mixed with cheddar. Bake at 200 C for about 15 minutes. Your Pizza Pasta Casserole is ready, enjoy!!Â
Salam Fauzia, I accidentally left the factory packed shredded Mozzarella cheese out over-night for almost 16 hours, it melted and combined to form a ball.. i then kept it in the fridge… Can i use it or is it unsafe now??
I live in saudia Jubail, the room temp must be around 25 degrees C where the cheese was left out. The packet was un-opened. I just bought it from the market….
W/Salaam, I would not risk using the cheese, normally fresh cheeses are so delicate and if it has spoilt it would give nasty side-effects.
