Creamy Mince
This wonderfully creamy mince is just awesome over toast, rice, pasta or potatoes! We love it with my baked potato mash and a side of veggies. The best thing about it is that you end up with these phenomenal tasting results with minimal effort!
Servings 4 people
Ingredients
- 500 gm beef mince
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt or to taste
- 1 tsp crushed black pepper
- 1 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp garam masala optional
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups milk or as needed
- 4 tbsp freshly chopped coriander
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pan, then add the chopped onions and fry until almost golden. Add the ginger and garlic pastes and stir them in. Then add in the mince and cook over high heat to get a good colour and caramelisation on the mince. Avoid over-stirring, just give it an occasional stir to break up any lumps in the mixture until it is cooked. Stir in the salt, pepper, garam masala, chilli, worcestershire sauce and flour. Cook for another 4-5 minutes to ensure the raw flour smell is gone.Slowly add the milk whilst mixing regularly. Simmer until the gravy thickens to the consistency of your preference. Sprinkle in the chopped coriander and stir. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Turn off the heat and serve!Enjoy!
Notes
TIP: You can even add stir-fried mushrooms to this gravy if you like.
