A quick, healthy and delicious steak dish, goes well with fried rice or pasta or baked/fried potatoes or naan.

Ingredients
500 gm
steak, cut into strips
3-4
bell peppers, sliced lengthwise
(assorted colors if possible)
salt to taste
1 tsp.
ginger paste
1 tsp.
garlic paste
1 tsp.
tomato paste/puree
2
onions, sliced thinly
1 tsp.
red chilli powder
1 tsp.
paprika powder
1/4 tsp.
turmeric powder
splash of soya sauce
2 tbsp.
oil
2-3
green chillies, chopped
Instructions

Boil the steak (with a pinch of salt, half tsp. each of ginger and garlic pastes and a dash of black pepper) in a pressure cooker until tender (about 10-15 minutes). You can boil in a regular pan if you don't have a pressure cooker, it will take longer...just boil until the meat is tender. Reserve any stock/broth that remains after the meat boils, we will add that to the dish.

Heat oil in a wok, then add the onion slices and fry until they become translucent. Add the sliced bell-peppers and stir fry for about 3-4 minutes until they start to turn tender. Add the tomato paste, ginger and garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric and paprika. Then add the steak with whatever stock/liquid remained in it after boiling. Simmer together for about 5 minutes (you can add water if you want a bit of gravy). Add the chopped green chillies and a splash of soya sauce, then taste for salt and adjust. Turn off the heat and serve!

Enjoy! :)
