Triangle Parathas/Chapatis
Both kids and adults love the look of these cute three-sided parathas/chapatis. Makes eating so much more enjoyable when you're not serving the same old round chapatis everyday.
Servings 5 Parathas
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour you can mix half all purpose and half atta if you like
- 2 tbsp ghee plus a bit more for rolling and cooking
- 1 tsp salt
- warm water or milk about 1/2 to 3/4 cup
Instructions
- First make the dough. Add the salt to the flour. Rub in the 2 tbsp ghee, then slowly add in the warm water or milk and knead until you have a lovely soft dough. The more you knead it the softer your parathas/chapatis will be.Here's how you create the triangular shape. Cut a piece of dough and roll it out into a normal round chapati. Apply ghee all over and sprinkle a bit of flour. Fold the circle in half, and then again to a quarter. Now it already looks triangular in shape. Let this rest (covered) for a few minutes, then roll out into your triangle! The ghee and folding helps create lovely layers and also gives it the triangle shape. To check out my regular round parathas/chapatis recipe, click HERE.For square parathas, click HERE.
