Servings : Serves 4-6
The WOW factor alone that you would get from this gorgeous pizza is enough, but the taste is even more incredible. All the bubbles on the border of the pizza are stuffed with cheese, so every bite is a burst of flavour.
Ingredients for Pizza Dough
- 5 cups all-purpose/plain flour (each is 120gm)
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (or water mixed with some fresh milk)
- 8 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp milk powder
- 2 level tbsp instant yeast
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
Other Ingredients
- Pizza Sauce (recipe link given below)
- Pizza Toppings (recipe link given below)
- 2 cups mozzarella & cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 egg yolk beaten with 1 tsp milk
- sesame seeds
Instructions
For Step by Step instructions with pics, check HERE.
First, prepare the pizza sauce and toppings using these recipes:
Pizza Toppings or Spicy Chicken Topping
Next, prepare the Pizza Dough
Mix all the dry ingredients and the oil, then slowly start adding the warm water/milk a little at a time. Get it to a soft dough, the softer the better, knead it very well for at least 8 minutes or more if possible.
Dab a touch of oil all over the dough, then cover it and place it somewhere warm. Leave it to rise to double its size, takes about 30 minutes to an hour depending on the weather.
Once risen, punch it down, give it a quick knead and then divide the dough into 2 equal parts.
Roll half of the dough to about 12", then place it on a greased pizza tray.
Divide the second part of the dough into small balls, fill each one with cheese of your choice, I used some grated mozzarella. Seal the balls well and place them all around the border of the pizza.
Lightly cover the pizza and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
When about ready to bake, take a knife and poke small slits a few times all over the base of the pizza to prevent it from swelling up during baking.
Preheat the oven to 180 C
Spread the pizza sauce, sprinkle some cheese, and then add toppings of your choice. Sprinkle some more cheese on top. Then brush the balls on the border of the pizza with the beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until the pizza is well cooked and golden. You can first place it on the lower rack for about 10 minutes, then bring it up a notch to the center rack and continue baking until done.
Serve! 🙂
Delicious
I made this pizza today.. The dough turned out to the best among all I have ever tried, and I have tried a lot of recipes, trust me. 🙂 However I wanted to point out a couple of things, first in the recipe ingredients its written warm water, while in the recipe you’ve written : “then slowly start adding the warm milk a little at a time” I figured out that it was supposed to be warm water but to avoid confusion to the new cooks I think you should correct it…
Secondly, it says “1 and a half cups warm water” I had to add more than 1/4 cup extra to knead the dough. Even then it was on the harder side..
Apart from these itsy bitsy tiny problems.. the dough turned out to be a hit. Even my husband asked me if I found a new and better recipe. Thanks a lot. And the bubble shape looked awesome. Kids loved it and they were really excited to eat this pizza.
Bravo, Keep up the good work
Hi Sadaf, thank you so much for the lovely feedback! So glad the recipe turned out well for you. I will edit the recipe to explain about the water/milk, basically water is fine for the recipe but I tend to add a bit of milk in the water to add to the softness of the final result. It isn’t necessary though, just a small preference of mine. And regarding the amount of liquid needed when kneading dough, that depends on two things, altitude of your location (that plays a big part in how much liquid a flour can take) and the strength of the flour used. Some flours need more water than others to reach a certain consistency. So I guess for this the only advice I can give is always go with your dough. Add more liquid if you feel the dough can take it, or less if you feel it cannot. God bless you, thanks again for your sweet comment!! 🙂
i dnt have baking soda can i use instant powderd yeast ???
No please don’t, those two things are COMPLETELY different and should never be substituted for each other.
Could u plz tell me how to fill in the cheese in the small balls?
Same way you would fill buns. Stretch the dough, put the cheese in the middle, close it up.
I like ur FkF.I think we learn more new dishes and enjoy for cooking and eating.I tried ur chicken bread.it was very delicious.thanks for this beautiful website.

Hi Fauzia, can I use plain flour instead?
That is the flour required for the recipe, all-purpose is the same as plain flour.
A.a hope your doing fine sis fauzia, can i have lasagne recipe please, thanks
W/Salaam, here it is: http://www.fauziaskitchenfun.com/lasagna/
You inspire me to try new recipe’s. Each day i try something new from FKF. About the pizza base, can i make a few extra one’s and deep freeze them for future use. If so,how should the base be ? At what temp and how long should i microwave the base or if it s cooking in the pan how long should i cook the base ??
Thanks. Bake them just until they start getting firm but before they colour. About 10 minutes or less, but check and confirm that they are a bit solid before removing and storing.
Salam fauzia I made this pizza today & dough turned out lovely .but I had a tiny problem .my pizza was uncooked in d senter .could u tell me what went wrong . Jazakallah
W/Salaam, could be that the center was overloaded with ingredients. Try to make sure the base is rolled out evenly and the toppings are spread out evenly too.
Slms fauzia , made the bubble pizza today, just kept it in the oven, hve a problem, my oven is quite small so the big pizza pan couldn’t get in, now can I make two pans instead of one n make exactly the same recipe but divided into two pans? Though I made today in one pizza pan but it was giving me problems. Plz need yr suggestions. And thank you for all yr recipes, they are awesome. May god bless you.
W/Salaam, thanks dear. Yes you can make two smaller pizzas, or even one regular flat pizza and one with the bubbles. 🙂
