Salty Lassi

This savoury and spiced lassi has an amazing cooling effect on the body. Perfect during summer or as a refresher at the end of a long fast.


  • 1 cup plain yoghurt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin powder (roast the cumin then grind them)
  • 1-2 tbsp. chopped fresh mint (optional)
  • 1/4 cup ice cubes
  • extra mint leaves for garnishing


Blend the chopped mint with yoghurt, then add water, milk and salt and blend again until smooth.Fill up two glasses with ice cubes and pour the blended mixture into them. Top off with a small pinch of cumin powder and sprigs of mint. Serve and enjoy!
