Servings : Makes 10-12 sliders
Sliders are basically miniature sized burgers that can be eaten in about 2 quick bites. They are perfect for little hands or as an appetiser or starter.

- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder (optional)
- 4 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
- 2 green chillies
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 heaped tbsp breadcrumbs
Other Ingredients
- small buns or rolls (link for recipe given below)
- lettuce leaves
- tomato slices
- onion slices
- cucumber slices
- ketchup, mayonnaise or mustard
Instructions
For the buns, you can use either my, Burger Bread recipe HERE, Pogaca bread dough recipe, link HERE or my Pav Bun recipe, link HERE.
First, prepare the slider patties. Put the chopped onion, chillies, coriander, ginger and garlic into a food processor. Blitz to crush them. Then add the mince, salt, black pepper, cumin powder and paprika powder. Grind everything together to combine. Turn the mixture out into a bowl and add the beaten egg plus the breadcrumbs. Use your hands to mix everything well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
Shape approximately 10 or 12 balls out of the mixture (if you wet your hands they will be easier to shape). Flatten and smoothen each one gently. Once all are done, you can refrigerate them again on a tray for just 20-30 minutes to help them hold their shape.
Heat a pan with a light drizzle of oil. Then place the sliders a few at a time and cook over medium heat until they are brown and cooked through. They should take about 4-5 minutes per side to get cooked through, depending on how thick or thin you shape them. Keep the cooked patties covered with a piece of foil to retain heat.
Once all the patties are done, slice the buns in half (you can toast the slit buns if you like), spread some ketchup or mayonnaise then add a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice followed by the slider patty. Top with sliced onions and cucumber slices, a squirt of ketchup and the top half of the bun. Serve hot.
Enjoy! 🙂
