The perfect bread-accompaniment for roasts, bbq, pizza, pasta, etc.
- 1 loaf of bread (preferably french bread but any good loaf will do)
- 3 tbsp. room temperature butter
- a pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander
- a pinch of black pepper powder
Mix the butter with garlic paste, salt, pepper and coriander until well combined.
Slice the bread to one inch thick slices but do not slice all the way through, and apply the garlic butter paste all over the insides of the slices, and apply some of the butter on the top of loaf. Wrap the bread in foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 10-15 mins.
If you want it extra toasted, remove the foil, cut the slices right through to separate them, then put them back into the oven for another 3-5 minutes.
