Pico de Gallo
This simple Mexican dip, which is also known as Salsa Fresca is a fresh, uncooked condiment, somewheat like a chunky spicy salsa. Much like other salsas, it goes beautifully with tortilla chips or can be added to tacos and fajitas.
Servings 2 Cups
Ingredients
- 3-4 fresh tomatoes finely diced (ripe but firm)
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 2-3 jalapeno peppers or green chillies
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro or coriander
- juice of 1 lime
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Make sure the tomatoes, onion and chillies are diced very finely. Put them in a bowl, add the chopped cilantro and give everything a mix. Sprinkle the salt and squeeze in the lime juice. Mix again and give it a taste. Adjust if needed.Tortilla chips recipe HERE.Guacamole recipe HERE.Enjoy!
