Minty-Lime Iced Tea

Few drinks are as refreshing and thirst-quenching as Iced tea, and this is my favourite version of it!

Ingredients
2 litres
water
5-6
good quality, lemon tea bags
(use plain if you don't have lemon flavoured ones)
3/4 - 1 cup
sugar
(check according to your taste and the strength of your limes)
juice of 2 limes
1
bunch of mint
lots of ice
Instructions 

Boil the water then turn off the heat and add your tea-bags and a few sprigs of mint in the pan of hot water. Let these steep in the hot water for about 45 minutes (keep covered if you want). This is VERY CRUCIAL for a really great Iced tea. Don't rush it. :).

Remove and discard the tea bags and mint, then stir in the sugar and lime juice. You can make short work of the stirring by whizzing it in the blender for a couple minutes. Taste and adjust accordingly. If you find it mild, you can add more lime. If it's still too strong, don't worry, you will add ice cubes in there so it will get milder when it gets diluted. Adjust the sugar according to your taste. Refrigerate until very cold, then serve with lots of ice-cubes and garnish with some fresh mint.

You can put tiny, thin bits of lime into your ice-cube tray and fill it up with water, then use these ice-cubes to give your drink a fancier appearance. It also adds an extra kick of lime to the drink as the ice cubes melt! :)

Can u please tell me can i refrigerate it for 2- 3 days??
or is it necessary to add tea??is it for color ONLY?
u wrote add few sprigs of mint , what about the rest of mint from that bunch?

W/Salaam, since this is iced TEA, then tea is an important ingredient for it. Use the rest of the mint in any other recipe that needs mint. And yes it is best fresh.
