Steak and Capsicum Filling

Works beautifully in my Triangle Buns, or most other buns….or as a pizza topping, sandwich filler…etc

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg. steak cut into cubes
  • 1 tsp. ginger paste
  • 1 tsp. garlic paste
  • salt
  • 1 tsp. red chilli powder
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 1 capsicum chopped I used red here but you can use any you like
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. soya sauce
  • 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. yoghurt
  • pinch of turmeric
  • 1 tsp. cumin grinded
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • pinch of tandoori masala optional

Method
 

  1. Marinate the steak in all the ingredients for about 4 hours to overnight.
  2. Put in pressure cooker, add 2 cups of water.
  3. Boil for about 25-30 minutes. Check that the steak is well done, if there is any excess water, dry the steak off completely. Adjust salt/chili according to taste. Shred and use!
