- 500 gm boneless chicken breast trimmed and pounded lightly to flatten
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. soya sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic paste
- 1 tsp. ginger paste
- pinch of turmeric
- pinch of tandoori masala
- 1 tsp. red chilli powder
- 1 tsp. red chilli flakes
- juice of half a lemon
Marinate the chicken in all the above ingredients for at least 2 hours.Now you can either:Grill the chicken steak on a bbq grill on both sides until done (about 12-15 minutes per side)ORHeat a hot steak pan or heavy griddle, add 2 tbsp. of oil to it and fry the steak on medium heat for about 10 minutes per side. Then increase the heat and give it a final fry of about 3-4 minutes per side or until it begins to slightly char. Do not crowd the pan, fry a few pieces at a time.Slice and lightly toast your burger buns, then add whatever condiments/fillings you like…ketchup, mayo, cheese, chili, salad, tomato, onions…etc. Add a chicken steak and cover with the top half of the bun.Serve hot and enjoy!
