Servings : Makes 1 cup
This is a speedy fresh sauce that is served with most Arabic rice meals which contains chicken or lamb. It resembles a salsa and is normally not extremely hot, but since I love my food spicy I like to ‘up’ the amount of green chillis than what you would normally expect to find for this kind of yummy condiment.
Ingredients
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander
- 1 garlic clove
- 1-2 green chillis (more if you prefer it spicier or none if you don't want the spice)
- pinch of cumin powder
- juice of 1 lemon
- salt to taste
Instructions
Put everything in a processor or blender and pulse for a few seconds until almost liquidised, leave some small chunks for texture. Pour into a bowl and serve with the meal of your choice!
Enjoy!

Yes, add more tomatoes. However a better sauce for pasta would be my pizza/pasta sauce which is in the toppings/fillings album. You can add some of that to this recipe, mix them up and then use as your topping. 🙂
