This is a milder red chilli dip with a great twist. One of it’s ingredients is dates!! This makes it mildly sweet, giving it a really lovely flavour and texture. It’s really enjoyable with potatoes/bhajias, kichra/haleem or biryani/pilau.
10freshnot dried red chillies (of course, use more or less according to your taste)
5dates/khajurdeseeded and chopped
1tspsalt
1tspgarlic paste
2tbsptomato sauce/ketchup
1tspsugar
water as needed for blending
Method
Put everything in a blender, and blend until smooth. Adjust consistency/spice to suit your preference.Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator, or freeze and use a little at a time whenever you need it!
