Servings : Makes 6-8
Cute miniature pizzas, ideal for picnics, parties or for little hands.
Ingredients for Pizza Dough
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose/plain flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 3 tbsp oil
- a pinch of baking powder
- warm milk for kneading (approx. 1/2 to 3/4 cup)
Instructions
First, prepare the pizza sauce and toppings using these recipes:
Pizza Toppings or Spicy Chicken Topping
Next, prepare the Pizza Dough
Mix all the dry ingredients and the oil, then slowly start adding the warm milk a little at a time. Get it to a soft dough, the softer the better, knead it very well for at least 8 minutes or more if possible.
Dab a touch of oil all over the dough, then cover it and place it somewhere warm. Leave it to rise to double its size, takes about 30 minutes to an hour depending on the weather.
Once risen, punch it down, give it a quick knead and then divide the dough into 6 or 8 equal balls. Roll out each ball and place on your greased baking tray. Again cover the tray and let the bases rise slightly for about 15 minutes.
Now, using the tip of a sharp knife, make small slits here and there all over the base. This helps make sure that the base rises evenly so you won't have awkward looking bubbles all over your pizza!
Apply your pizza sauce, followed by the topping of your choice and then some cheese. Bake at 180 C (in a pre-heated oven) for about 10-15 minutes, or until you see that they are done and the cheese is beautifully melted.
Alternatively, you can bake the bases without any topping for about 8 minutes, just until they are somewhat solid, then lay them out to cool and put them in a freezer bag to freeze until whenever you need to make a quick pizza, whereby all you will need to do is place your half-cooked base, add the toppings and bake! 🙂
i love cooking and would like to learn more. thank you so much for this website.

hi fauzia?can i use a stove to cook pizza?
Hi, yes you can.
Dear Fauzia, any tips on how to make pizza in a microwave? Mine usually causes the base to burn.
Thanks!
Hi! I personally am not a fan of baking using the microwave so cannot be sure on what to suggest there, sorry!
salaam fauzia..can i mix the yeast and sugar in warm water before mixing it into the flour?
W/Salaam, if you are using Instant Yeast there is no need for that. However if you are using Active Dry yeast, then increase the amount by a quarter or half tsp and then proceed with mixing the yeast first in sugar and warm water, let it froth/get activated, then add it to the flour.
salamz Fauzia, i love ur things,i have planned to make mini pizzas today and wanted to ask that is it ok that i make the dough i the morning and bake it in the evening before iftari?……..
W/Salaam, yes that is fine.
Salam Fauzia, just wondering if I can use water instead of milk or maybe use yoghurt.
W/Salaam, yes you can.

Salaams sis, i’ve tried few of your recipes and alhamdulillah theyve turned out great.I wanted to know can i can half-bake these mini pizza bases and freeze them and defrost and use them after few days like when i have guests over or something?..Thanks alot for your wonderful recipes and tips.
JazakAllahKhayr. tc
W/Salaam, thank you! Yes you can do that.
i made it,,bt the outcome was nt tht gud..:( wen the baking was complted i turned off the knob bt didnt put the baking try out bcoz i wantd them to keep warm till serving time..wen it cooldown it became like a rubber(the dough) help me plz wht cud b wrong?
Next time take the pizzas out of the oven after baking. Even though the knob was turned off, the oven was still very very hot and the pizza kept on baking in that heat, thus turnin hard. You can always warm them up before serving rather than let them over bake.
thanku so much..nxt time i ll b careful…:) n i must say ur website is just awesm…..:)
Salams.. can i use bicarbonate of soda instead of baking powder?
W/Salaam, no those two should not be substituted. If you don’t have baking powder you can omit it in this recipe.

Hi, at the moment no pepperoni recipes yet.

W/Salaam, as mentioned in the recipe, it is INSTANT yeast. That is a type of dry yeast. 🙂
