Orange Juice

Servings : Serves 2

Like I always say, it’s much better to make your juices at home so that you can benefit from all the nutrients without the extra preservatives and additives found in store-bought juices that our bodies do NOT need! 😉

Here are the health-benefits of Orange Juice when had regularly but in moderation:

Orange juice is very high in vitamin C, which boosts the immune system of our body. Vitamin C being high in antioxidants, helps to build and repair the body cells and also prevents any damage. It helps our body to fight infections and diseases. Moreover, some studies say that vitamin C has anti-cancer properties and it neutralizes free radicals in the body. Vitamin C also helps to absorb non-heme iron and prevents deficiency of iron in the body.

It also contains high levels of minerals like magnesium and potassium. These minerals help to lower the increased blood pressure level and hence, high blood pressure patients are recommended to drink orange juice. Consuming orange juice also helps to reduce the risk of fatal diseases like stroke and other heart diseases. Pregnant ladies are recommended to drink orange juice for a healthy growth of the baby. Drinking orange juice develops strong bones and teeth in the baby due to the high levels of calcium present in orange juice.

Apparently it also helps to treat arthritis because of its anti-inflammatory properties. These anti-inflammatory also reduce risk of developing heart problems. It also increases your metabolic rate and increases body’s resistance to fight diseases.
