A different kind of burger where the filling is a mixture of shredded steak cooked with caramelised onions and softened bell peppers. It is an easy recipe to put together.
- 3 cups shredded steak filling (recipe link in the instructions below)
- 6 burger buns
- lettuce leaves
- mayonnaise, as needed
- ketchup, as needed
First, prepare the filling using THIS recipe.
Slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly. Spread them with some mayonnaise and ketchup. Add a lettuce leaf followed by a good helping of the shredded steak. You could also add whichever other filling that you like, for example sliced tomatoes or cucumbers.
Top with the other half of the bun and serve with fries or roast potatoes.
