These decadent little nutella-filled pockets are so incredibly delicious. They can be enjoyed both warm or cold, and are great as a little treat or dessert.
Warm the milk and water. Mix the flour, oil, salt, sugar, yeast and baking powder then make a well in the centre and pour the water and milk. Gently combine, and knead thoroughly until the dough is soft and smooth.
Wipe some oil on the palms of your hands and rub over the ball of kneaded dough, then cover and let it sit in a warm place for an hour or until it rises to about double it's size.
Once well-risen, divide into 8 balls. Roll out each ball gently and evenly (do not lean/press down hard on the ball of dough, you need to use a light hand) to a diameter of about 3.5 inches each. Add a dollop of nutella to one side of the circle, dab a bit of water around the edge and then fold over the other side to form a half circle so that the nutella is in the middle. Set aside on a floured surface and repeat with the rest of the balls of dough until all are done. Cover them with a light cloth and allow them to rest for 30 minutes.
Heat a pan on medium and cook the pockets on it, turning them until both sides are golden and the dough is cooked through. You can dip the tip of your spoon in oil n gently wipe over and under the pockets to help them attain a good colour. Once done on both sides, remove and place them on a wide plate. Continue until all are done.
Dust them lightly with icing sugar before serving.
