This Month's Tips - 6 Things to Avoid Before Bedtime

We all know the importance of a good night's sleep. Here are some simple tips on what to avoid before bedtime!

Having liquids before bed

Do not drink anything before bedtime since you could wake up 2 to 3 times during the night and you will have to go to the bathroom!

 

 

Brightness on clocks

Try not to use very bright alarm clocks. They will interfere with your sleep and stimulate your brain. Reduce brightness of the alarm screen.

 

Eating

Your last meal should be approx. 2 hours before bedtime. If you eat before bedtime you can end up bloated and digestion will be more difficult & cause heartburn and gas.

         

Caffeine

Do not drink caffeine at least 4 hours before bedtime. Caffeine will boost your energy and stimulate brain function and it will be harder for you to fall asleep.

 

 

 

Mattress

Your mattress is very important and that is why you need to invest in a good one.  A comfortable mattress is the most important thing for a good night's sleep.

 

 

 

Napping

We all know napping is great for babies and kids but for adults it may be not so good. Try to avoid them and create a regular sleeping routine and this will prepare the brain for sleeping at the same time every night.
