Serves 2

The right breakfast dish for those extra-special mornings!

slices bread
(I prefer thick slices that are a day old, slightly hard)
2 tbsp.
butter, melted
2 tbsp.
1 tbsp.
honey or sugar
salt and pepper to taste
(you can omit the pepper if you want them un-spiced)

Whisk the eggs with butter, milk, honey/sugar, salt and pepper together, then dip the slices one at a time on both sides, let them soak in the mixture.. but don't leave them too long coz they might fall apart if they get too soggy.

Place on a lightly buttered frying pan and cook on each side on low heat until the color is nice and golden and the center is firm. Serve with honey, powdered sugar, fruits, syrup or just enjoy them plain!

Made it just now. yummyyy! thanks Fauzia!

this is my old time fav.. my mum used to make this as a treat when we were little.. mmm

Delicacy wow nice breakfast for husband

I made french toast for breakfast this morning and its really great. My hubby loved it

hi fauzia ... i have made french toast lot many times earlier bt these were different!!! thanks a lot from the kiddos for their evening snacks..:)

I have an easier way. Cancel out the butter as it causes fatness. Just beat up one egg and add one cup of milk and 3 spoons of sugar. This is enough for three slices of bread. Dip the slices in the mixture and fry as usual and voila its ready to eat!
